Delete your Scenicly account

Scenicly, by Scenicly LLC, lets you delete your account and associated data at any time — either inside the app or right here on the web, with no app install required. Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period during which you can change your mind.

How to delete your account

In the Scenicly app

  1. Open the app and go to your Profile tab
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Type DELETE to confirm

On the web (no app needed)

Sign in with your email and password, or — if you signed up with Google — request an emailed sign-in link. Then confirm the deletion request.

What happens next

  • Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days after your request, and we send you a confirmation email with the scheduled date.
  • During the 30-day grace period you can cancel the deletion at any time — in the app or at the web deletion page. Cancelling fully restores your account.
  • After 30 days, deletion happens automatically and is permanent — your account and data cannot be recovered.

Data we delete

When the deletion completes, we permanently delete:

  • Your profile, email address, and avatar
  • Your account credentials (the login itself)
  • Your cars and car photos
  • Push notification tokens for your devices
  • Your trips and driving stats
  • Your favorites, ratings, and downloads of other people's content
  • Your participation records in other people's events
  • Any data-export files you requested

Content we retain in anonymized form

Community content you contributed stays available to other users, but in anonymized form — it is shown under a generic "Deleted User" label and is permanently unlinked from you. Your name, account, and any way to associate it with you are removed:

  • Routes and waypoints you created (including cover photos)
  • Events you hosted and the photos shared in them
  • Announcements and comments you posted
  • Ratings and favorites that other users placed on your routes
  • Subscription status records (fully de-identified)

In addition, a limited set of data is retained as permitted by applicable law:

  • Financial transaction records (subscription purchase history) are retained in de-identified form for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention compliance.
  • A minimal deletion-request audit record (request and completion dates plus status — no email address after completion) is kept to document that the deletion was carried out.

Subscriptions

App-store subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google, not by us. Deleting your Scenicly account does not cancel an active subscription — please cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to stop billing.

Your data, your copy

Before deleting your account, you can request a machine-readable copy of your data (JSON format) — either with the Export My Data option in the Scenicly app's settings, or on the web at our data export page. We email you a secure download link that works for 7 days.
