COOKIE POLICY
Last updated June 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Scenicly LLC ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal information. It supplements the information provided when a cookie banner is shown to you on your first visit.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include things like local storage and cookieless request-based measurement. We group these into two categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (for example, to keep you signed in or to remember your cookie choices). These do not require your consent, but we disclose them here.
- Analytics (optional) — help us understand, in aggregate and anonymously, how the site is used. These are switched off by default and only run if you choose to allow them.
Cookies and technologies we use
| Cookie / technology | Category | 1st / 3rd party | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Supabase authentication / session cookies (sb-*) |
Strictly necessary (no consent required) | 1st party | Maintain your signed-in session and keep the site secure. | Session / until the session token expires |
cc_cookie (cookie-consent record) |
Strictly necessary (no consent required) | 1st party | Stores your own cookie preferences (which categories you accepted, the timestamp, and the policy revision) so we do not ask you on every page. | Approximately 182 days |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Analytics (opt-in — off by default) | 3rd party (Vercel Inc.) | Aggregated, anonymous audience measurement. It is cookieless, uses no cross-site identifier, and the underlying session data is discarded after 24 hours. | No persistent cookie on your device; 24-hour server-side session |
Consent — how we ask
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. Nothing non-essential runs until you make a choice. You can:
- Accept all — allow strictly-necessary and analytics technologies; or
- Reject non-essential — allow only strictly-necessary technologies. This option is offered with the same prominence as "Accept all."
The analytics option is never pre-selected. Strictly-necessary cookies are always active and are not part of this choice, because the site cannot function without them.
How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — as easily as you gave it — by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. This reopens your cookie preferences, where you can turn analytics on or off. Withdrawing consent stops the analytics technology from running going forward.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although disabling strictly-necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (such as staying signed in) from working.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change the technologies we use, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent again.
